Let's see if this works... This is Rommel dropping a note to his stalled troops, threatening to come down and make them move if they don't. This incident actually happened, though probably not like I have depicted it. He's flying upside down because Qualarei and I were thinking, how does one fly and write notes at the same time? It also shows off a little trademark Rommel recklessness. Many thanks to Qualarei and Wing Pikepaw again for being fellow Rommel fans.

My ! And once again, a wonderful picture. I love the way you drew the Italian officer (the mustache is pretty funny), and you combined the two anecdotes nicely. And the texts are nice too. It's not at all like I'd have drawn it, but I like it. The jaded expression of Rommel's officers shows that by now they're used to his stunts. Probably a lot of them had grey hair prematurely... But, since the Italian officer gave the order, why isn't any Italian soldier shooting ?

Presumably this time, Rommel's officers managed to calm him down. It's not the actual time they fired on him.

He's pretty lucky his officers were there to protect him ! Speaking of drawing, my next one will be Rommel at mount Mataiur. I know, it takes me a lot of time, not to draw, but to actually decide what I'm gonna draw. The main theme and idea isn't enough, I need to be able to picture exactly in my mind the final result, or it doesn't work. What about you ? What are you drawing next ? Rommel on the doorstep ?

I'm drawing Rommel on the doorstep and Rommel taking a picture of a charging enemy brigade. Here's the link to my Nuts and Bolts Picture. Actually, this is easier. Here's a link to my Gallery. Desert Stallion's gallery. desertstallion.deviantart.com/gallery/

Ah, here is the long-awaited (hardly) ...drumroll please, Rommel the Rat! I tried to give him a wider chin than the movie rats, and teardrop eyes, so maybe one can use some imagination, lol. Took me an hour or so. www.deviantart.com/deviation/59280522/Say, is anyone else ever going to post a drawing? And Qual, you're on holidays, so no excuse.

Hum... post a drawing ? ...Well, thing is, I did draw something, but it has nothing to do with Rommel. It's a drawing of King Arthur in the series Kaamelott - you probably don't know about it, it's a French series and I doubt it was translated. If only because some of the puns are just untranslatable.
Yeah, I know I'm on holiday, but I'm supposed to help my mother since she's moving houses, and it's a lot of work. I had to repair a few things and I have also a door to paint... hum, okay, I know, no excuses.
Any one got a drawing idea to get me started ? I don't have any inspiration...
Oh, and by the way, since I'm at my mother's, I don't have a scanner, so even if I do draw something you might not get it before september. Although maybe when I go to Nouméa I'll find a way to scan drawings...

Tee hee! I bow down to your far-superior drawing skills and droll sense of humour. Rommel's antics on the ground would have been nerve-wracking enough for his generals - imagine what he would have been like in the Luftwaffe! The bird looked as surprised as the Italians, but it's mainly the fact that all the Germans are completely unsurprised that makes me giggle.
