Loool ! What I wouldn't give to be in the shoes of that lady ! Ah, that's right, you've got this horrible qwerty keyboard. I never quite managed to write with that thing.

Where did you put all the ê, é, è, à and such ? In Russia, they have qwerty keyboards too. When I came back from there, I was unable to type correctly on my laptop for a while...

Here's a thought. Would you rather go back in time to meet Rommel, or would you rather he came to your time? If you went back in time, perhaps you could change history. I'd probably be more comfortable in my own element, though.

Hmm, that would be pretty dangerous to go back to his own time. With the Gestapo and all... Well, I've got blue eyes and brown hair, so I guess I'd look Aryan enough, but being French wouldn't help. I'd probably be arrested, and unless it's in Africa, I doubt Rommel could help - given he would even try. Nah, I think I'd rather have him come. That way, he'd have to depend on me for a lot of things and I could get to know him better. If I came to his time, why would he pay attention to a French girl stranded in Africa ?

Good point; I'm thinking the same. Maybe he could bring his family along, so he wouldn't constantly be fretting over them. A fretting Desert Fox probably isn't the funnest Desert Fox. Course, being a history buff, if I could somehow be immune to the Gestapo and bullets, I'd like to go back and observe history, watch from a distance and take notes. Boy could I write a bestseller history book!

Uh... I think the only safe way to observe history is to watch a movie, lol. But of course, I'd be tempted too in those conditions.
Rommel probably would fret over them, he wrote to Lucie daily - and she did too. Sometimes, he wrote twice a day, I heard. The only thing is, what would he do if he came to our time ?

And by "what would he do", I don't mean his first reaction, but in the long term ?

We'd recruit him to run the U.S. tank divisions, of course. With our supplies, no one could beat him. He'd probably go back to Germany, though.

I don't know... He's quite the warrior ; seemed most in his element during wars. Or maybe he'd resume his duties as an instructor... Maybe I could convince him to become president of the republic ? (of the French republic, of course...)

I think the U.S. is in more need at the moment. *steals Rommel*

Yeah, we could use him, but I wonder how he'd do against people that won't fight like an army, or honorably. Goofy terrorists.

I guess he'd be pretty angry at them... but it's true it's hard to fight an ennemy we can't see. Maybe he's try to set a trap, lure them out, and then strike. But if that was that easy, I guess we wouldn't need him... Reminds me I gotta register so I can vote. Duh... some more paperwork.

Well, since my answer was "bring on the panzers !", I'd say it was Wingy Only thing is, Rommel seldom drank alcohol... so I guess it'd be kinda out of character for him to do that. (although, he'd need the whisky-soda to get over the shock)
