Well, what do you think, and does anyone know of a good word that starts with X? There's half my contribution to the contest; I'm ahead of you guys, hehehe...And my Rommel portrait is mostly done, except for his dust goggles. Those babies are being tough. The question is, will the scanner pick him up when I get back.

Oooh, I'm impressed. The "z" thing was a clever move, I have to admit. I was wondering how you'd manage, but it really sounds good. Actually, you remind me a bit of a writer, Raymond Queneau. You probably never heard of him, but he's a guy who wrote the same story a hundred times, with different styles - not exactly the same thing, but he was using literary constraints as well. There's also a guy who wrote a whole book without using the "e" letter... kinda crazy but well.
The X letter is really a problem, eh ? I've tried looking in my dictionary, but it only gives me three words starting with x, and none of them appear to be usable. Maybe "xenophobic", referring to Hitler or Himmler or one of them ?
At any rate, I'm really impressed, and I liked it very much. It's short, but that suits the way you depicted his thoughts. It didn't sound artificial or anything - actually, it's pretty close to what he must have been thinking way too often.
So good job, and I'm really looking forward to that pic of yours. Boy, I need to catch up...

Xenophobic, eh? Against all things foreign or strange from one's perspective. That could be applied to Hitler and his horrible treatment of the Jews. I don't know how I could work that in, but it might be worth a try. I'm glad you liked it. The style was a bit different from what I usually do, but it looked like fun. You two should try the alphabet thing; it really stretches your mind at times.
Without using the "e" letter? That's nuts. You're right, I've never heard of the Raymond fella, but he sounds interesting.
