Well, hello to everyone who may still lurk in the depths of this forum! Wing? Qual? I have been missing Rommel and all of you this summer, and wondered if any of you folk are still as obsessed - ahem, historically interested - as I am. Anyone discovered anything new about our favorite German field marshal? I am considering running through the letters that Rommel wrote to his wife and collecting all the personal information/bits and putting them in their own thread here. What do you guys think?
Also, I have been itching to draw something Rommel-related, but I am out of ideas at the moment. Any suggestions?

The forum lives! Sadly I had to return the Rommel Papers to the library after I'd had it out for a year, so I'm lacking in Rommel-related books. If you still have the letters, collecting the information from them is a great idea.
Did anyone draw Rommel pulling his tank to bits in the middle of the desert, while Bayerlein looks on in horrified amusement? He did that with his motorcycle, so I'm sure he would do it with a tank!

The forum may live, but there appears to be a time-gap in the answering process, heheh. I had great intentions to collect personal anecdotes from his letters, and I still do, but time is an issue right now.
And I did draw something like that a long time ago. It's still on my old Deviant Art account.
Random Rommel gloating moment! I attained Discovering the Rommel Murder by Charles Marshall for free for my Kindle this winter! Reminded me of the good old days on here.
